Some of us were at a family get-together yesterday - celebrating the life of Doris. She'd have been pleased at how it went and the buzzy hospitality of the busy house where we congregated for a chatter.
The right kind of cakes were on offer and it gave a chance for sometimes far-flung parts of the family to catch up on the gossip.
Just how she'd want it.
